Principal’s Message

Jose Jimenez, principal

Dear North School Families,

It continues to be an honor for me to serve this wonderful community for a second year. In 19-20 we made positive progress with many achievements and milestones. We created a parent club, held cultural dance events, presented character building through assemblies, enjoyed one another at our school dances, listened to amazing music concerts, participated in parades, and we overcame and held strong even with the interruption of the COVID-19 pandemic that affected our everyday lives.

I’m proud of our North School students, families, staff, and district.  Everyone held strong during the transition to distance learning. The constant communication, dedication of staff and students, and the “never give up” attitude of everyone involved, was essential to our success.

Now it is time for another historical moment for North School with the modernization of North School. Our students will be attending two separate sites with K-5 students attending the IGCG campus and our 6-8 students remaining at North. All our hard work and dedication will pay off when we are able to walk the halls of our new building, bringing once again, a new era in our North School student lives.

It is exciting to walk past the buildings each day and notice the progress toward the completion of our new facility.  I am counting down the days before we K-5 students are able to return to North School, on Holly Drive, to enjoy our new modern facility and call it home.

I’m excited to continue our school’s momentum of positive relationships and the embracing of the school and our communities’ strong culture. Together, we will continue to implement and grow our AVID strategies and programs at North.  We will march forward with high expectations and enthusiasm as students become college and career ready for the 21st century.

We our North School Lions “Hear us Roar”

Sincerely,

Jose Jimenez, Principal
