Principal’s Message

Jose Jimenez, principal

Dear North Elementary School family,

It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of North Elementary School and to join this wonderful community.

Being born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley, I grew up with the same background as many of our students so the local culture and customs are very familiar to me. After graduating high school, I enlisted in the U.S. Army and served overseas.  Living in Europe broadened my awareness of different cultures and languages, and helped me realize that embracing differences is a reason for celebration.

Upon finishing my military service, I attended San Joaquin Delta College and transferred to CSU Stanislaus as a pre-medical student, earning my Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Science with a minor in chemistry. I began my career at TUSD as a science teacher at Merrill F. West High School; since completion of my administrative credential and earning a Master’s Degree in Education from CSU Stanislaus, I’ve worked as an assistant principal at West High School and have been serving the Tracy community.

I believe in building positive relationships along with embracing the school culture and community to further the goal that all students can succeed to be college and career-ready with 21st century skills. I am committed to always explore ways to meet the needs of all students in our community and help them achieve success!

Sincerely,

Jose Jimenez, Principal
